IntelliTrack Warehousing Software Satisfies Demand for Australian Socks

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) February 28, 2008 -- IntelliTrack®, Inc., a leading developer of barcode, RFID and wireless software, announced the successful deployment of IntelliTrack Warehouse Management Software at ATC International, a distribution and logistics provider that offers warehousing and business management services for local and international businesses.

ATC International, Inc., a Maryland warehousing and logistics provider began as Australian Trading Company and distributed high quality men's socks to major US retail chains. Several years later, Australian Trading Company, now ATC International has experienced measurable growth and continues to receive, ship, track, and distribute Australian vendors' socks. With the increase in business and the need to track each pair of socks rotating through their warehouse, ATC was in serious need of an automated inventory system.

Each pair of socks requires their own SKU (stock keeping unit) to account for the number of socks in each shipment. Prior to installing an automated warehousing system, ATC was manually counting and tracking their entire inventory and each shipment which took hours and often resulted in errors. Should an order of socks be over or under shipped, retailers would often call for extra charges so it was essential all orders were correct, on time, and each pair of socks was accounted for.

As ATC began their search for an appropriate and cost effective system, IntelliTrack Warehouse Management Software (WMS) was recommended by an outside consulting firm following a complete assessment of their warehouse.

IntelliTrack's software has offered ATC measurable results and has contributed to the company's overall growth and success. ATC first installed IntelliTrack Warehouse Management Software (WMS) in 2003 and has continuously updated to the newest version over the past three years. In addition, IntelliTrack was able to provide a direct connection from warehouse inventory and order management to their QuickBooks accounting system with IntelliTrack's QuickBooks plug-in. With IntelliTrack's system in place and the direct connection into QuickBooks, ATC saves approximately $20,000 and 800 man hours each year between administrative and warehousing operations.

IntelliTrack's WMS has allowed ATC International to control and expand their business very quickly when needed allowing them to handle growth without a problem. During peak shipping, ATC can get anyone in the warehouse to operate a barcode scanner and ensure that all their inventory and picking data will be accurate.

"Before installing IntelliTrack's software applications, we spent up to eight hours per week on double data entry. Now that our warehouse is fully automated and communicates directly with our accounting software, we've saved countless hours each year between administrative and warehousing functions." said Amy Frey, President of ATC International.

IntelliTrack's WMS and QuickBooks Plug-in currently allow ATC International to account for a constantly moving inventory of approximately $240,000 - $270,000 in men's socks annually. ATC International has achieved several small business awards and doubled its sales over the past three years and counting.

A trip North up the Bruce Highway to Bowen takes about an hour. The approach to the town from the South has the usual Information centre, with a feature of the Big Mango. The next thing we noticed going into Bowen was the BOWENWOOD sign on the water tower above the town, in the style of the HOLLYWOOD sign in that location.
